Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins have set out on an acoustic tour just before they start a full-on, normal tour with Marilyn Manson.
At a show in Munhall, Penn. this week, the Pumpkins leader performed every song from the band’s debut album, Gish, in about three minutes, running through an acoustic instrumental medley of all 10 songs from the 1991 album.
Corgan jokingly suggested playing the Pumpkins’ entire catalog that same way after completing the Gish medley. He’s said that this acoustic tour would include all eras of the Smashing Pumpkins’ career, so don’t be surprised when he does this again for Siamese Dream.
