A few days after her rousing set at Pitchfork Music Festival, which turned even the most cooler-than-thou hipster into a dancing machine, Carly Rae Jepsen performed at the Pop City Party in Los Angeles last night. The event, hosted by PC Music and Red Bull Music Academy, also featured A.G. Cook, Danny L. Harle, QT, Hannah Diamond, and Charli XCX, but Jepsen, whose E•MO•TION was one of 2015’s best albums, was the unofficial headliner.
She made a surprise guest appearance during Harle’s set to make the live debut of “Supernatural,” which leaked online last month. Speaking about when the future-club hit might be released as a single, Jepsen previously said, “It’s not quite done yet. We’ve got a bunch of new versions so I think whatever leaked might just be like the baby version of it, but I’m really excited for what it’s turning out to be… I’m not 100% sure of the release plan, but I can say I got a new mix of it last night, and my boyfriend and I were dancing to it on the patio and getting exciting and gearing up for the video ideas.”
A blonde wig is apparently involved.
It’s nice to see that Frenchy graduated from beauty school.
