While we’re all eagerly awaiting The X-Files revival at FOX, David Duchovny went and made a country album titled Hell Or Highwater. Pajiba notes that the release party was on Tuesday night at the Cutting Room in New York, and friend and fellow X-Files cast member Gillian Anderson dropped by to lend her talents.
Anderson sang with Duchovny on a cover of Neil Young’s “Helpless,” and then this happened:
Yes, it’s only a light little peck among old friends, but still — they sure do know how to light the internet on fire. Getty is rife with shots like the one above, detailing a sweaty Duchovny aiming for a not-so-sweaty Anderson’s lips. Sure they took plenty of other photos at the release party, but we all know they were waiting for the same thing we were.
