We brought the New Orleans-style cover of Guns N’ Roses classic “Sweet Child o’ Mine” earlier, but now comes a cover with a little Chinese flavor. Musician Michelle Kwan turns the traditional Chinese instrument into her own play thing and tears out a cover that sticks a little closer to the roots than the jazzy version, but is impressive nonetheless.
I love both covers from today and hopefully Axl Rose doesn’t go on some Twitter rampage tearing them apart or whatever cake-infused brain dementia he has going on forces him to type out. Rock on, Michelle Kwan. You’re number one on the west side in my mind!
