After an almost four-year wait, the last few weeks have been incredibly rewarding for Jack White fans. It seems like just yesterday that White officially announced his third solo LP Boarding House Reach and shared its first singles, “Connected By Love,” with an album track b-side of “Respect Commander.” Now, he’s shared the third track from the record in the form of “Corporation.”
What starts out sounding like yet another departure for White, with bongo drums, funky keys, and a repeated mantra of “Who’s with me?” the track eventually settles around halfway through into something a little closer to the mutated ragtime blues sound that White perfected on 2011’s Blunderbuss. For the track’s second half, pianos in a higher key serve as an octave harmony to accent the crunchy guitar. “I’m thinking about starting a corporation,” White stammers in the first few measures. “Who’s with me?” Stream “Corporation” below.

In other news, White recently announced that phones and other recording devices were going to be banned for the extent of his upcoming Boarding House Reach arena tour. However, he was sure to clarify that his headlining slots at several festivals across the country will not be phone free.
Boarding House Reach is out 3/23 on Third Man Records. Pre-orders for the limited edition vinyl packages are currently restricted to members of the Third Man Vault program, with a public pre-sale to come.
