It’s always a show when an artist has to release a press release alongside their new video. Usually it’s to cool controversy, but here we have Jack White promoting the interesting production schedule for his new video for “Would You Fight For My Love.” From Rolling Stone:
The video was “conceptualized, produced and shot within a 24-hour period,” according to a statement released by White, and filmed during a six-hour shoot at the Cruise Room at the Oxford Hotel in Denver. Several members of White’s Third Man Records crew appear in the video, along with musician-photographer Scout Pare-Phillips.
Six hours is like four porno movies, I’m pretty sure. It’s a nice, moody looking video though, and White doesn’t look half as much like a ghost fart as he normally does. I like that. As for the song itself, I’m on the fence.
I have to be in a certain mood to listen to The White Stripes or Jack White. It’s the voice, especially in this song. I’m expecting Nick Cave and I get Emo Phillips.
