While we’ll never really know if Don Draper followed his spiritual quest along the California coast with the creation of an iconic Coke ad, we know what Jon Hamm did with himself after Mad Men‘s story ended: He rambled on over to Bonnaroo with his buddy Zach Galifianakis, a stone’s throw from Atlanta, where they’ve been filming their upcoming comedy, Keeping Up with the Joneses.
Hamm made the most of his time at Bonnaroo. Along with Galifianakis, he led a sing-a-long of “We Are the World” during the introduction to Saturday night’s SuperJam, fed the crowd Gummy Bears, and stormed the stage during Belle & Sebastian’s set. Following their busy Saturday night, Hamm and Galifianakis stopped by the Tupelo Honey Cafe in Chattanooga for a quick bite to eat Sunday. Hamm found himself in a generous mood and, upon leaving the restaurant, decided to give his all-access wristband to the cafe’s bartender, Abby Swartz.

“Take this wristband and go to Bonnaroo. This will get you anywhere you need to go.”
Swartz was floored. She asked him if he was serious.
“Yeah, go to Bonnaroo and have a great time,” he said.
And Swartz did have a great time, her first time going to the festival. She was close enough to touch Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine and watched festival headliner Billy Joel’s set from the side of the stage.
“It was the highlight of my life,” she said. “Throughout the night, I kept thinking about how lucky I was. I’m not a very outgoing person, so I didn’t talk to too many people in the artists’ hospitality area. I mostly kept to myself. But there were times when I would just smile and think, ‘There are thousands of people here, and I am the only one who is, basically, Jon Hamm’s stand-in.'”
Shout out to Galifianakis, too. He might not have given her a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but he did drop a 250 percent tip.
