2 more days… 😳 https://t.co/iDIX09zeIU

While we can only say so with 99.9 percent certainty, Justin Timberlake is probably going to release some new music this weekend. After Atlanta radio station Q100 tweeted “Clock keeps ticking til Justin Timberlake,” JT responded with a tweet of his own that simply said “2 more days”.
This tweet is cause to reevaluate a tossed-off response to the yearly “It’s Gonna Be May” meme, where Timberlake let fans know that new music was coming (without making it too easy for them).
After a bit of prodding from fans, Timberlake did drop one more nugget of information. The song is going to be called “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”

The response to Q100 was as characteristically cryptic as everything else surrounding new Timberlake tunes. All we really know about his upcoming project is that Timbaland and Pharrell are both involved. Because of earlier talk of a full-blown country music album, we don’t even know the genre that JT is operating in.
Of course, when Timberlake makes a dramatic stylistic shift, it tends to be for the best. Justified is a great pop album, FutureSex/LoveSounds is an bona fide classic, and The 20/20 Experience was ambitious greatness. So, even if all we have is a day and a title, it would be foolish not to be a little bit excited.
