A 47-year-old patron at the 2015 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee has died following an unknown cardiac issue. The Tennessean reports that the man collapsed in the festivals main Centeroo area and was attended to by the festival’s medical staff before being transported to a local hospital:
“Those who were with him informed our medical team that he was suffering from a pre-existing cardiac condition and, unfortunately, we understand that he has died,” Carl Monzo, emergency services director for Bonnaroo, said in a statement provided to the Tennessean. “The safety and security of our patrons are our top priority, and our medical staff responded flawlessly. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends.”
The man was unidentified in reports, but it was noted that the death is the 12th in the festival’s 14 years. There have been no other reported health incidents at the festival this year.
