The UK-based Marshall Amplifiers is known for making some of the best guitar amps, they’re the Fender of the amplifier world. With new technologies coming out every single day, the company has expanded further from just amps, now including headphones, Bluetooth speakers, even a mini fridge (!), and they’ll now have a phone.
The Marshall London is, not surprisingly, the first phone from the company, and it’s everything an audio nerd could dream of. With two microphones on the phone, recording on the go will be extremely easy, especially with the included custom recording apps. If that wasn’t enough, the London includes a global E.Q. that will let you change and adjust levels to your liking. So, your front-facing speakers or dual headphone jacks sound great when you pull a Spinal Tap and turn it up to 11.
The Marshall London is set to be released August 21 with pre-sales beginning today and a price tag of $499. The phone itself is pretty cool, but it’s nothing new from other phones. Recording and adjusting E.Q. is pretty simple to do on an iPhone or Android already, so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
