A couple of years ago I had the privilege of traveling to Mexico for the first time — to attend a music festival called Corona Capital. The fest is held, unsurprisingly, in Mexico’s capitol, Mexico City, which is now one of my favorite cities in the world. I would seriously consider living there if I hadn’t recently settled in Los Angeles. After seeing the lineup for the 2017 version of the Mexico City fest, you may well consider settling in that city anyway, just to make sure you’re around for the event this fall, which is headlined by Green Day, PJ Harvey, and the Foo Fighters.
It includes plenty of other notable, slightly less enormous bands as well, like Phoenix, Japandroids, Sampha, and Angel Olsen, Kehlani, Grizzly Bear, Daughter, and more. Unlike a lot of festivals, which stretch over a full three days, this fest manages to fit it all into just two full days. It’s an even more efficient way to pack in all your favorite bands, and regale the rest of your friends with stories of the sets until everyone has FOMO. That’s what music festivals are designed for, right?
Check out the full line up in the poster below, and if you’re interested in heading down to Mexico to fall in love with Mexico City, get your tickets for the fest here before May 17 for the November 18-19 fest.
