Last week, we saw a sneak peek of the awesome alignment of Parks and Recreation star and Paul Bunyan descendant Nick Offerman with The Decemberists for the band’s latest music video. Now we have the full length video for “Make You Better”, wherein Offerman plays a lovelorn German talk show host with a passion for TV show producers and turtle neck shirts.
Not to be outdone in the fashion department, Decemberists’ lead singer Colin Meloy is wearing white overalls and a pair of eyeglasses from the Gloria Vanderbilt collection. Meloy and the rest of the band are also playing instruments that were carved for them by Offerman from a luscious pine tree that he tore from the earth with his meat-fueled man hands on the way to the shoot.
The Decemberists’ What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World comes out on January 20th.
