Life as a musician is romantic, but hard. Even for artists who have achieved a little success, it’s not unusual to be living gig to gig. So, when life hits an artist hard, it sometimes hits harder than for those who have typical nine-to-five jobs. Luckily, a handful of mega successful groups like Queens of the Stone Age, Paramore, and Jimmy Eat World decided to do something.

The Sweet Stuff Foundation, originally conceived in 2013 but just now getting traction due to a social media push, is a charity designed to help out “career musicians, recording engineers and their families struggling with illness and disability.” The organization plans to fundraise by selling unique merchandise, collecting donations, and will be auctioning off a number of special items in the coming months, including an autographed guitar from the 2014 Grammy Awards. Though Homme probably won’t miss the axe so much, it’s a once in a lifetime piece of memorabilia helping out a great cause.
