Following his son’s claims that Tupac Shakur is alive and working in the studio, Suge Knight didn’t confirm the long-held belief from some that the rapper is still among the living. He did confirm, however, that the elder Knight still holds the rights to a few of the late rapper’s unreleased songs.

Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal hit-and-run in 2015, but spoke out after his son, Suge Knight Jr., posted to Instagram “I got Pac back in the studio. New music coming.”

Suge Knight Sr. reportedly hasn’t seen Tupac’s son’s claim that Tupac is still alive, but according to the DailyMail, “it’s only a matter of time” before the new music is released.

“I’m definitely going to bring new Tupac music for you guys. I don’t want to be out in the category of conspiracy theorists. Trust me. Tupac is good, Tupac is good… All I can say is this. People can’t fathom to believe that I have new music on the way from him.”

Knight hopes the new releases can become a collaboration album between Tupac and current stars such as Cardi B.

“When it’s time to do a real Tupac album, you get the right people that work with him, that he would work with, you know, like Drake or… Beyonce likes Tupac music. He would definitely appreciate to see her with him and Cardi B is probably the most aggressive entertainer in the biz today. And I think she’s the female version of Tupac. Tupac with a skirt. Yeah.”

Suge Knight Sr. lost Death Row Records in 2008 to bankruptcy, but Suge Knight Jr. has been hinting at a reboot, tagging #NewDeathRow in several posts on the social media site.

Since Tupac Shakur’s tragic death in September of 1996, countless conspiracies have surfaced over the rap legend’s death. Many fans and friends of the rapper voice suspicions that because Tupac’s murderer was never found, they believe the rapper is still alive.

Suge Knight Jr. offered a conspiracy of his own last year, claiming ‘Pac was alive and well and living in Malaysia.
