Watch Waka Flocka Flame And Good Charlotte Rock In The Midst Of An 8-Bit Revolution For ‘Pixels’

If you’re of a certain age, you probably have fond memories of the early days of gaming – afternoons at the arcade playing Pac Mannights spent ducking bedtime in order to conquer Donkey Kong, etc. Kids today might scoff at what they see as primitive graphics, but to an entire generation, those games have real sentimental value. There are even websites dedicated to preserving that beloved 8-bit look.

But would you still have that warm and fuzzy feeling if those 8-bit icons were attacking your planet?

That’s the premise behind Pixels, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Peter Dinklage. In the film, aliens wage war on us, using our favorite gaming classics as inspiration for their assault. It’s up to the three stars, and more, to save us.

Uproxx has the first look at the video for “Game On,” the Waka Flocka Flame/Good Charlotte joint that also serves as the soundtrack’s single. In the clip, Waka and the Good Charlotte boys perform in the midst of those pixelated invaders. You’ll never look at your Atari the same again.

Pixels hits theaters July 24.
