Watch President Obama Mock Donald Trump For Having His Twitter Account Taken Away From Him By His Staff

One of the more hilarious stories of the weekend involved Donald Trump’s Twitter access reportedly being revoked by staffers, which means that Campaign Manager Kellyanne Conway finally had enough of Trump kicking himself in the face. Well, President Obama was highly amused by this development while stumping for Hillary Clinton in Florida. He also used this as an example of why Trump and nuclear codes would be a very bad pairing:

“Apparently, his campaign has taken away his Twitter … In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control, that they said, ‘We’re just going to take away your Twitter.’ Now, if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at 3 in the morning because ‘SNL’ made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.”

It’s hard to argue with that simple and repeated argument. When Obama says something twice, you know he means business. And the audience laughed along, as did he at several points in the rally, but the subject is all too serious. Clinton previously argued against the American public electing “a man that you can bait with a tweet.” And Trump himself didn’t understand why, regarding nukes, “If we have them, why can’t we use them?” Quick trigger fingers don’t bode well with instruments of death.
