Let’s Talk This Week’s Geeky TV: ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Premieres Its Second Season

Legends of Tomorrow ended its first season on one heck of a cliffhanger; the team, down Hawkgirl and Captain Cold, finds itself being approached by a ’40s hero to save time yet again. The twist? Hourman was sent by their future selves to warn the team of a coming disaster. How’s that going to work out? We find out tonight!

In fact, this show is bringing some fairly serious acting firepower in the form of the “Legion of Doom:” John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, Neal McDonough as Damien Dahrk, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, and Matt Letscher as the Reverse-Flash. Between them they’ve had some of the best, or at least most highly entertaining, episodes, and really Barrowman and McDonough alone are worth the price of admission here. How the two of them will even be able to stand each other might be the show’s biggest mystery.

Another big win, though, is the show heading back to DC’s Golden Age. DC has an enormous collection of heroes from that era, both timeless and bizarre, and digging into that part of their history, on a TV show no less, would have seemed impossible just a few years ago. We’ll see just how the Justice Society fares against the Legion of Doom tonight at 8 p.m. EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
