Tom Jenkins of The Theory, a film and production company, created this stop-motion animation project, Address is Approximate, using images from Google Maps with Street View to chronicle the adventures of a toy with a wandering heart traveling in a toy car. Put simply, it’s gorgeous.
Story: A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.
All screen imagery was animated – there are no screen replacements.
If any of the Toy Story movies made you cry (Toy Story 3 reduced me to a puddle, so yes, this almost made me cry), you will adore this.
