Can you remember the last time the top news regarding the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination was about Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush? Ted Cruz or Rick Perry? Scott Walker or any one of the other 36 candidates? It feels like it has been weeks, because people just can’t stop talking about Donald Trump. Hell, people weren’t even done being outraged over his remarks about John McCain before he gave Sen. Lindsey Graham’s phone number to the world, and while Graham at least has a sense of humor about it, the moral of the story is that the Donald just doesn’t give a f*ck.
Sooner or later, though, the curtain will be pulled back and we’ll all understand why he’s doing this, because there’s no way he actually wants to be president, right? My guess is that it’s for a new political version of The Apprentice, or maybe it’s just an extreme narcissist’s hobby.
