Ladies and gentlemen of Gamma Squad, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brian Childs, I’m the new creative director and I’m here to work tirelessly like a robot.
Previously, I helped found Asylum which quickly became the number one men’s lifestyle website. For about three years we made funny observations and were subsequently shut down as part of a long series of solid business decisions on the part of AOL. More recently I worked on ComicsAlliance as the site operations manager helping to make it the largest comic book site on the net.
My goal is to make Gamma Squad the first site you check out in the morning and the last site you look at before going to sleep (if it is not already). I want to make a site that raises the bar on what you think a blog can accomplish. I’m talking about original reporting, photos, art, and video. I want to make humor posts you can’t wait to share on Facebook and reviews you can’t stop commenting on.
So please bear with us as we try out new things and let us know when we fail, we won’t get any better otherwise. I’m confident in your ability to do this, dear reader, as this is the Internet, and negative comments here are as normal as breathing air.
