Kermit the Frog may have musical chops, a fabulous gal-pig by his side, and a great knack for journalism, but there’s one thing he’s been unable to attain: true superhero status.
As a new MTV interview reveals, it turns out our favorite amphibian actually auditioned for The Avengers, but was turned down for the role of The Incredible Hulk. Kermit probably would’ve wanted a chance at having superpowers, but that’s none of his business…
In the same interview, Kermit and Pepe the King Prawn talk summer movies, including Guardians of the Galaxy and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The two also share their thoughts on CGI-heavy films and offer up their advice to animal characters looking to break into showbiz. As we all know, it’s tough out there for a Muppet.
