Kevin Kolb’s Career Might Be Over, So The Bills Signed Matt Leinart

Any Buffalo Bills fans out there? Well there’s some bad news because starting quarterback Kevin Kolb might not be suiting up again for the franchise.

Buffalo News reporter Tim Graham tweeted out Sunday night that his sources have given him indication that Kolb’s career might be over after Kolb sustained a career-ending concussion in Saturday’s preseason loss to the Washington Redskins. The concussion was Kolb’s third in a six-year career. It occurred when he was kneed in the back of the helmet after an 8-yard scramble in the first quarter.

In anticipation of Kolb’s premature retirement and because of 2013 Draft pick EJ Manuel’s current knee injury, the Bills have brought in Matt Leinart to anchor the offense. Which is awesome, we suppose, if you’re into your quarterback looking like a discarded “The Hills” extra. Leinart played in two games for the Oakland Raiders last season and amassed… 115 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception.

But hey! He’s from Southern California and won a Heisman, so that’s glamorous. Upstate New York needs some of that, right?
