Leonardo DiCaprio may have laughed off Lady Gaga’s maybe-accidental hip check as she went up to accept her Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film, and his maybe-coincidental stink eye as “he didn’t know what was passing him” — which in itself could be read between the lines — but like it or not, that blink and you’ll miss it moment was one of the most talked about from the 2016 ceremony. However, if what Radar is reporting is true, the moment really was harmless, so much so that DiCaprio later even apologized for it.
Allegedly, Gaga’s fiance Taylor Kinney approached the Revenant star after the show and was like, “Yo, Leo, you really need to apologize to my woman over that thing that happened.” And this can probably be taken with a grain of salt because it’s coming from a gossip rag, but supposedly it worked.
According to a source very close to the 26-year-old [Ed note: she’s actually 29] “Born This Way” singer, “Leonardo made good on this later that night, when he apologized to her and Taylor at the CAA after-after party at the Sunset Tower Hotel.”
“They all partied there all night long and laughed it off,” the insider told Radar. “Leonardo said that this was the last time he would drink before the award show.”
The source also claims that Gaga ended up being elated over the whole thing, because in the end, it just drew more attention to her big win that night. Probably better that people are talking about that than about how Kirsten Dunst was the one who really deserved to win the Golden Globe for her outstanding performance in Fargo, we guess.
