Pinkberry Co-Founder Gets 7 Years In Jail For Channelling His Inner Patrick Bateman

Pinkberry founder Young Lee has been sentenced to a maximum of 7 years in jail for beating the hell out of a homeless man. I guess you can’t have your hoity toity frozen dessert and eat it too! I hate myself. Via L.A. Times:

A jury found Young Lee, 49, guilty in the June 2011 attack on Donald Bolding. Bolding flashed a tattoo of a stick-figure couple having sex to the people in Lee’s car, which included his fiancee. Lee drove away, then returned to the East Hollywood street with another man who’d been in the car. He then beat Bolding, who suffered a broken left forearm and several cuts to the head.

After the jury returned the verdict in November, he was ordered jailed without bail by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Henry Hall, who declared him a “significant threat to the community” because he had threatened a witness in the case.

Must have been a terrifying stick figure tattoo. You have to give a little bit of leeway to homeless people who act a certain way. I live in Detroit and since we’ve been in perpetual Winter since October 2013, I can understand how the homeless are freaking out. Then there’s me having to look for the auto-start for my car so it will be heated, defrosted, and comfortable by the time I get into it. I couldn’t find my keys for TEN MINUTES. Ugh, barely made it to McDonald’s breakfast.

Something tells me if Young Lee told the judge that the homeless man he beat was Jared Leto, he’d of just gotten probation.
