'South Park' Went All 'Jackin' It In San Diego' On Us Last Night

When I first learned that Butters would be the centerpiece of last night’s episode of South Park, I kind of figured that it would bring the funny — as most Butters-centric episodes tend to do — but I’d no idea that it would turn out to be one my favorite episodes in ages, artfully skewering both the Kony 2012 movement and Harvey Weinstein’s Bully documentary along the way.

With that said, the storyline involving Butters and his grandmother brought more joy to my life than a crawfish boil on a Sunday afternoon in the Spring, but the final scene — a song and dance number spoofing the plight of Invisible Children co-founder Jason Russell that ended with Stan naked and fapping on the streets of San Diego — absolutely stole my heart. I literally had to pause my DVR to catch my breath — I was laughing that hard. If Parker and Stone don’t win an Emmy for this then there is no justice in the world. Additionally, the San Diego Chamber of commerce should send them a thank you note for the best free tourism video they could possibly ask for.

“Been around God’s country and there’s one thing I know…there’s no better place to jack it than San Diego!”

The full scene is embedded below, and I feel there’s joy to be derived from it even if you don’t watch the full episode, though I highly suggest you do here. Enjoy…
