Don’t get me wrong, I am ALL for responsible parenting and letting kids know about sex when they reach an appropriate age. But there’s also a right way and a wrong way to tell your kids about sex. I think my own mother probably fell into the category of “wrong way” because she told me in no uncertain terms that babies are made when a man’s penis goes into a woman’s vagina. When I was in first grade. Now I don’t know if you know this about me, but I enjoy sharing gross things that I learn about. So I immediately told my entire first grade class, because I was clearly too immature to know what NOT to do with this very, very sensitive information.
Another way that’s probably wrong to tell kids about sex for the first time is to have a camera pointed at them, but that’s exactly what these parents did. Listen, learning about sex is an excruciatingly awkward experience for a child, and the last thing they want is someone filming it for the enjoyment of the internet — which is why I also wholeheartedly approve of this video. Sorry, kiddos! Also, I don’t know who this “Nick” person is, but he needs to keep his goddamn mouth shut.
