Kim Kardashian Pens A Female Empowerment Essay To Justify Her Nude Selfies

All hail Kim Kardashian for nearly breaking the internet again earlier this week by posting a throwback naked selfie of her anatomically impossible body. The reality show queen’s 38973rd naked picture to date had less to do with cries for attention and everything to do with Kim knocking down the female empowerment doors — one provocative nude photo at a time.

The social media savvy star penned an essay on empowerment after Twitter ignited in a war of 140 characters over her pictures. While some dismissed the nude selfies as trashy and something women shouldn’t emulate, Mrs. Kardashian-West says she most certainly is a role model for young girls. Why? Because she’s drug-free and has a clean rap sheet. “I don’t do drugs,” she writes. “I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime — and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?”

Kim says continually releasing naked pictures and allowing the world to see every photoshopped Kardashian crack and crevice is so that girls can feel as liberated as she does when she bares all:

“I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”

And if you’re still referencing her Kim K Superstar sextape after 13 years, the 35-year-old television personality is completely over it:

“I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago.”

Meanwhile, Kim has gone nude for magazines over 15 times already. Maybe the 20th time will do the trick.
