James Harden got cooking late in Houston’s 102-98 win over the Nets last night after having a pretty awful opening 47 minutes. Up until the final 30 seconds, Harden was just 3-of-14 from the floor, but with the Rockets clinging to a 96-95 lead, Harden’s step-back ripped the nylon with 27 seconds left.

Harden had stirred things up — we don’t know about this metaphor (maybe cooked?), but we liked Harden’s celebration — to give the Rockets the three-point edge.

Beard did share the ball since he was shooting so poorly, dishing 12 dimes on the night, but he came through with the bucket when they needed it the most. The Rockets — led by Terrence Jones’ 26 points — made their final four free throws to overcome a late Deron Williams layup and end with a 102-98 win.
