Some 16-year-olds chase dates. Others play sports, love video games, or read books. The ones we like most, though, spend their free time scribing letters – with awesome original illustrations! – to all 30 NBA teams, asking why they deserve his fandom. Only one replied…
And that’s how our hero and former Seattle SuperSonics fan, r/nba user sibewolf, became a follower of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Here’s Connor’s letter to the ‘Wolves and the team’s awesome response:
Those all seem like pretty good reasons to follow the Timberwolves. Andrew Wiggins will indeed be a superstar, Ricky Rubio often dazzles, and Kevin Garnett’s return to ‘Sota is taken straight from soap opera storyboards.
Luckily for team president Chris Wright, Connor’s fandom didn’t depend on proofreading: Zach LaVine’s name is incorrectly misspelled as ‘Levine’ the first time it’s mentioned.
Kudos to Connor for the undertaking, and kudos to Minny for such a thoughtful response. It’s safe to say the former Seattle fan’s eyes will be on the ‘Wolves’ rise from this point forward.
