Here’s Steph Curry Embarrassing Defenders En Route To A Record 286 Threes

Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in the world. You surely know that already, and probably don’t need that belief any further cemented with a highlight video.

But here’s a pretty fun one just in case.

The Golden State Warriors superstar broke his own NBA record this season by making 286 three-pointers, fourteen more than he did in 2012-2013. But not even league annals will appropriately convey just how dominant a shooting performance Curry put forth in 2014-2015.

Why? Most made treys in basketball come via assist with room to spare from the nearest defender. The majority of Curry’s, on the other hand, are well contested and/or off the dribble. A mind-boggling 41.3 percent of the 27 year-old’s three-pointers came unassisted this season. By contrast, only 3.6 percent of Kyle Korver’s triples came of the self-serving variety – that’s what Lionel Hollins meant when he said the Atlanta Hawks sharpshooter is “not Curry.”

But no one shoots like Steph, of course. And just in case that reality was lost on you amid the MVP candidate’s ankle-breaking dribbles and jaw-dropping dimes, this super-cut featuring each of his 286 three-pointers is certainly a forceful and enjoyable reminder.
