After 77 Three-Pointers In A Row, Watch Stephen Curry React When He Finally Misses

The frontrunner for the 2015 NBA MVP put on an exhibition at practice yesterday, but now there’s some video of his stunning ability to hit 77 three-pointers in a row. The best part about the whole thing is Steph’s outburst above after he clanks No. 78. The yelp of annoyance just means he’s always going to think he can do better, even as he shatters all perceptions of shooting accuracy at the NBA level.

Klay Thompson, who scored 23 straight points the other night and dropped an NBA-record 37 points in a quarter earlier this season, says he’s never hit more than 36 straight. So Steph more than doubled his backcourt Splash Brother.

There’s no video we can find with all 77 shots in sequence, but even with the editing he hits over 30 here from the left side:

At practice, Curry hit 94-of-100 from beyond the arc for the day, so he was only 27-of-33 (81.8 percent) during the rest of his shooting workout.

This year, Curry has already broken his own record (272) for the most three-pointers in a season.

He’s also connecting on 44.2 percent from downtown, the third-highest percentage in the NBA this season despite attempting more three’s than anyone else (8.9 per game).

The 27-year-old keeps redefining excellence and this stretch of 77 straight just continues that trend. Plus, we love how upset he got after he finally missed. #NeverContent
