Jabari Parker Has Been Dunking All Over Kids At His Basketball Camp

The Milwaukee Bucks are in the midst of a resurgence complete with new uniforms, a new arena and a big splash free agency signing in center Greg Monroe. Even with all of that, most of their future rests on one man’s shoulders, and, luckily for them, Jabari Parker looks like his recovery from ACL surgery is going just fine.

That’s Parker up there catching an alley-oop in a scrimmage at his basketball camp this past weekend, showing that he’s getting back to playing shape and should be ready for the upcoming season. It was just nine months ago that the former No. 2 overall pick went down in a heap with what was later revealed to be a torn ACL.

His recovery has been documented in a powerful Gatorade ad that you’ve no doubt seen a billion times if you have NBA League Pass. Even with blossoming star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is said to have retooled his jump shot this summer, Parker is the key for the Bucks as they look to build a contender in the East. If he becomes the star they thought they were drafting second behind Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins, they could become more than just a scrappy team in the East, capable of giving a team a tough out in the first round. With the core they’ve built, a fully developed and recovered Parker and coach Jason Kidd, they could be a dark horse contender in a top-heavy conference.

Unfortunately for the kids at his camp, the oop wasn’t Jabari’s only highlight of weekend, as he also took the time to cross a few unsuspecting pre-teens up and throw down a dunk in traffic.
