NBA 2K16 Names Paul George The First Ever Cover Athlete For MyNBA2K16

Stephen Curry is the reigning MVP and best player of the defending NBA champions. James Harden was runner-up for the Maurice Podoloff Trophy last season, and seems primed to lead his team to the top of the league. It’s only a matter of time until Anthony Davis, meanwhile, comes away with individual end-of-season hardware, guiding his up-and-coming squad to legitimate contention in the process.

Those three luminaries are among the best basketball players on earth, and will remain so for years to come. They’re also the cover athletes for NBA 2K16. Coincidence? Hardly. The gaming world’s foremost hoops simulator has long chosen only the world’s truly best players to grace its front, a reality that’s been extended to mobile companion app MyNBA2K16 – and its inaugural cover boy, Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of the NBA 2K series and love staying close to the game when I’m on the road,” the two-time All-Star said. “Being selected as the face of MyNBA2K16 is the perfect opportunity to stay connected with the game, as well as represent the NBA 2K franchise.”

MyNBA2K16 will allow fans to remain constantly connected to NBA 2K whether they’re traveling, out for a night with friends, or even getting some work done at the gym – or at the office, if they may be so bold. The signature series’ new mobile application packs new features like MyCAREER display, MyPLAYER store, more ways to earn Virtual Currency and all-new episodes of 2KTV into the mobile experience. MyNBA2K16 will also include the collectible card game MyTEAM Mobile, where gamers can collect their favorite NBA athlete cards and challenge competitors globally in quick games, season tournaments and in-game special events.

NBA 2K16 drops on Sept. 29, and its mobile companion shortly after that on Oct. 1. Can’t wait? Us either. Look on the bright side, though: Once October is here and MyNBA2K16 is always just a fingertip away, you’ll never have to wait long to get your NBA 2K fix.
