Amare is looking almost Blake Griffin like in a few of his dunks this year…then you realize that Blake is a rookie and wonder at how ironic that statement is.
I’m surprised Nike hasn’t confiscated this footage yet.
i think i facebook too much, i was looking for the “like” button on Mike “Yahoo! Exclusive” Mihalow’s comment
No chance in hell Bron was blocking that, though gotta give props for trying.
@control Well Blake is on another level, so the statement is still true.
IT’S ALL GOOD…. It Happens To The BEST OF PLAYERS…. TRUST ME… LEBRON WILL GET HIM BACK.
And the Knicks LOST the game
When will you guys start caring about stuff that matters?
yeah bron got crushed on but he will get STAT back trust me ……. and @control AMARE was BLAKE GRIFFIN b4 BLAKE GRIFFIN lol people forget that amare dunked everything he got his fingerprints on when he first came into the LEAGUE.
Amare wasn’t ever the post presence Blake is showing to be. Especially when we are talking about rebounding. Amare put it down, but I don’t remember him skying quite like Griffin.
Amare did (and still do) clear the lane when he gets a head of steam (courtesy of one Michael Olowokandi)…
LeBron was timid in facing up for that block attempt. No surprise that he is more comfortable chasing down blocks from behind…Gotta mean it in that class of athleticism…
@#2 – That was solid
@ I am a witness – agree with the Amare assessment he was leading the league in dunks his rookie year, that’s all he did was dunk on people. The one thing he didn’t do as well as Blake is rebound.
Surprised Lebron even tried to block it as he mostly gets out of the way or duck so he isn’t posterized. But boy can he block those guards’ shots!
i am a witless
It’s all about irony…Blake was compared to Amare because of how he dunks, but Blake is better already than Amare is…hence Amare showing flashes of Blake in his game, despite him being a rookie. It really sucks when I have to explain this stuff…
@control – I wouldn’t say Blake is better than Amare right now. Amare has a better outside shot and mid range game and a better passer out of the post and Amare is more of a leader. Switch places and I don’t think the Knicks are .500 with Blake instead of Amare.
Bad position by Lebron, he came over too far and had to reach back across his body with his right hand to Amare’s right. If he had position himself better he coul have had that one
for the first time in ages, lebron got my respect. at least he tried to block this. if it was other way around, amar’e would just move away
@Davros-Naw it just would’ve been worse
