Dion Waiters’ List Of The Top-5 Shooting Guards Looks Exactly How You Would Expect

Dion Waiters has had a pretty great offseason. While the NBA Playoffs were going on, Waiters wrote a wonderful article on the Players Tribune titled “The NBA Is Lucky I’m Home Doing Damn Articles.” Then, free agency started, and Waiters cashed in on his solid season with the Heat by signing a four-year deal worth $52 million that will keep him in Miami.

Now, Waiters is one of the leaders on a Heat squad that looks like it’s going to be really unique next year. As one of the faces of the franchise, Waiters is apparently making the media rounds, as evidenced by a cameo he made on The Herd With Colin Cowherd.

While on the show, Waiters made his list of the 5-best shooting guards in the NBA. It is perfect.

So Harden and Thompson make sense at one and two. Wade at three is a stretch, but I suppose he gets a legend boost. Waiters putting himself at four is perfect, as it shows that he has never lacked confidence in his life. Especially because the guy one spot behind him has made the last two All-Star Games and was fifth in the league in scoring last year at 27.3 points per game.

But the best thing about this list was the reaction that came out of a dude who might have gotten snubbed, Blazers guard C.J. McCollum.

If Waiters’ list leads to him and McCollum going shot-for-shot during a matchup in South Beach or Portland next year, well, then this list is an extremely good thing.
