Goran Dragic’s Hilariously Humble Explanation For His Game 6 Explosion

On Friday night, the Miami Heat got a season-saving win against the Toronto Raptors to force an all-or-nothing Game 7. Miami beat Toronto by the score of 103- 91, the most decisive victory in a highly-competitive series that’s already seen three games sent to overtime.

Goran Dragic went off for 30 points and generally seemed unstoppable in his team’s crucial Game 6 win. When asked what prompted his breakout performance after the game, the Slovenian national gave this answer:

Who knew Dragic’s visa depended on how many points he scores? We thought his marriage with the Heat was one based on love this whole time!

But seriously, the Heat need star-level play from Dragic to beat the Raptors and he’s provided it thus far. Remember, this team came back from a 3-2 against the Charlotte Hornets to advance to the Conference Semifinals; Miami has already proven it can win a series when forced to come from behind.

One big difference between the first and second round: The Heat will play this Game 7 on the road at one of the most hostile environments in basketball. Will they rise to the occasion with their backs against the wall again? We’ll find out on Sunday.

When Dragic plays like he did in Game 6, though, Miami is obviously very, very difficult to beat – especially when his citizenship is on the line.
