Jabari Parker Blew Past Robin Lopez For This Massive One-Handed Slam

Jabari Parker can flat-out fly. The young forward for the Milwaukee Bucks famously hit his head on the rim over the course of a dunk during the preseason and, since then, the 21-year-old has put forth a number of highlight-worthy dunks to remind the NBA world of just how explosive he is. On Thursday night, the former Duke stand-out was back to his old tricks and, this time, the victim was Robin Lopez of the Chicago Bulls.

Midway through the first quarter, Parker took the ball with a full head of steam on the left side of the floor, zooming past Rajon Rondo (a point guard, no less) with his dribble and pursuing the rim with reckless abandon. Unfortunately for Lopez, the big man’s job was to attempt to get in Parker’s way but, on this occasion, there probably wasn’t a single player in the league that could have slowed down the freight train.

As you can see, Lopez tried to contest without fouling and that forced him to fly by Parker before the soaring forward reached the bucket. Then, Parker put the ball deep behind his head with his right hand to avoid Lopez’s arm, setting the stage for a thunderous jam that inspired a great deal of celebration on the internet. Jabari Parker has become the “other guy” in Milwaukee after the emergence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he can play a little bit in his own right and, athletically, Parker is a beast.
