A ‘Jeopardy!’ Contestant Apologized To The Warriors For Not Knowing Their Logo

We here at Uproxx Sports have a jolly good time making fun of Jeopardy! contestants who don’t know sports questions (or answers, as it pertains specifically to the game show itself) because it’s the only way to curb the inevitable sadness that there are people out there far smarter than us. In other words, sometimes you have to laugh in order to keep yourself from crying.

Digressing, Jeopardy! contestant Titi Alailima had an ultimate brain freeze on the show the other night when he was presented with the logo for the defending NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Alailima made multiple apologies on his Twitter account, which were well-intentioned but ultimately unnecessary. Brain freezes happen all the time, even to the smartest people.

If nothing else, Alailima can take comfort knowing he’s far from the first Jeopardy! contestant to whiff on a sports subject. In fact, it could be worse. You could be a student at LSU who doesn’t know his SEC football. Or, you could commit the most egregious error of all and confuse Alabama and Auburn.

Or, you could simply miss on a logo question with the team name right in front of you. That would have been bad.
