Over the course of the summer, ballplayers from all over the tri-state area signed up to take part in the ultimate basketball survival competition, otherwise known as “The Last Man Standing Tournament.” 300 players went mano-y-mano in the massive one-on-one, make-it-take-it, blood-and-guts tourney and the TV show that chronicled the summer-long event premieres tonight on MSG at 9PM.
The Last Man Standing concluded with a 16-man Championship Tournament at Madison Square Garden. The sole survivor claimed bragging rights, a grand prize of $5,000, a personal workout at the MSG Training Center and a spot in a pickup run with the Knicks.
Corey “Homicide” Williams headlined as the favorite heading into the tourney, but anything could happen in the heat of battle. Tune in tonight to catch it all …
The $25 entry fee benefited children in need through the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
