LeBron James Came Extremely Close To Destroying Bill Belichick While He Sat Courtside

LeBron James had a rough Wednesday night, and that had nothing to do with the Cavaliers losing 103-99 to the Celtics in Boston in a matchup of the East’s two best teams. James is very likely filled with regret that he didn’t do enough, and that has nothing to do with his 32-18-10 triple-double.

James had a chance to plow over New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and instead decided to pull up.

It was an opportunity of a lifetime. James could have trucked him with no fear of consequences but the Hillary Clinton supporter chose mercy against the guy that has written love letters to Donald Trump. It could have been a pivotal moment in American history; alas, it was a letdown.

“That’s why I slowed up,” James said after the game. “I definitely slowed up because I knew it was him. I’m not taking no legend out. I’m not doing that. I need to keep seeing him win. That’s pretty cool for me.”

Heartbreaking. James saying he slowed up because he knew it was Belichick means he was aware enough that he could have chosen to tear through him like a car through toilet paper but opted against it because … he wants the Patriots to keep winning? This guy, man. An Ohio-born Yankees and Patriots fan. He’s a Notre Dame fan too, isn’t he?

Sigh.
