Lonzo Ball Has A New Song And Of Course It’s About His Signature Shoe

Lonzo Ball is a lot of things. A budding media star. A rookie basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers. A person who has opinions about music and, most notably, a musician himself.

He also knows to stick to a theme, and that synergy should be celebrated above all else. That’s why his latest song sticks with what’s been working for him. Namely, selling shoes and rapping about said shoes.

Ball dropped another track on Thursday, and this time it’s about his own pair of signature shoes. The song, called ‘ZO2,’ is the second song the Big Baller Brand’s eldest son has made about a shoe his father LaVar Ball’s company will release this year.

Clocking in at a tidy 2:27, the song begins with the sound of eagles crying out, which is always an excellent place to start. Light piano keys are tickled.

“Triple Bs, man,” Lonzo says. “People are scared of change. We not.”

And so on and so on.

The themes of the Ball family are all there. Disruption of the status quo. The ability to do all things simply because they are Balls and we are not. Zo has swagger and a confidence only the son of LaVar Ball can have at that young age. The song isn’t exactly innovative, but why change what’s working at this point?

No word on whether there will be a remix of this song in a few months and somehow all evidence of this track will disappear from existence. But if it’s anything like the shoes the song is named after, don’t expect for this version to last very long.
