With time winding down in the first half against the Blazers on Sunday, Mike Conley took the inbounds pass to mid-court and nonchalantly nailed the jumper to help the Grizzlies take a four-point lead into the break. Conley has 10 points and six assists so far, while Marc Gasol also added 10 points. The Blazers trailed despite shooting over 47 percent from behind the arc.
The Grizzlies struggled shooting the ball in the first half, converting on just 36 percent of their attempts from the field, but used their vaunted defense to force 10 Portland turnovers. They also got help from Zach Randolph off the bench, who came in to score nine points in 10 minutes on 3-of-4 shooting.
Tony Allen left the game in the first half with a hip injury and is questionable to return.
