One Of The Top NCAA Recruits In The Country Pulled Off The T-Mac All-Star Dunk

Small forward Miles Bridges is heading to Michigan State in the fall as the number 8 recruit in the country, according to ESPN, and when he shows up in East Lansing, he’s immediately going to be one of the best athletes Tom Izzo’s ever seen. He’s got so much hops, he maxes out the vertical test:

At the Money Ball Pro Am, Bridges got to show his get-up in something closer to a game setting, and oh boy he did not disappoint. It’s a pretty faithful re-creation of the “Dinner’s Served” slam that Tracy McGrady unleashed in the 2002 All-Star Game:

From the looks of it, the levels of defense Bridges and T-Mac faced when throwing up their jams were pretty similar. But with the way Bridges can leap, we know he’s capable of great things even in the highest levels of competition. Just don’t expect Bridges to try anything that audacious in his freshman year under Izzo — he might ride the bench for three games for that sort of foolishness.

With do-everything star Denzel Valentine off to the Chicago Bulls through the NBA Draft, there’s a void in the Spartans’ lineup. We’re not going to pretend we know the ins and outs of Bridges’ game, but we bet he’ll have something to do in Michigan State’s lineup next year.
