The NBA’s Christmas Day Games Are Celebrating ‘The Most Dunktastic Time Of The Year’

For many of us, the NBA’s Christmas Day games are even more of a tradition than making ham or watching A Christmas Story. Long after presents have been opened, everyone’s wearing their new pajamas and slippers, and people are full of sweet treats, there are memories of finding that perfect spot on the couch and watching some of the league’s best teams go at it.

And the NBA has completely bought into that idea. They continue to find the best matchups, give us special jerseys, and even more surprises to get us amped up for holiday season hoops. This year’s no different. To celebrate, the NBA made a new video playing off that spirit, with “The Most Dunktastic Time Of The Year.” The video has Blake Griffin in a Santa hat playing the piano, Kevin Love dishing out egg nog, Draymond Green wrapped up in Christmas lights, and more. It’s great.

The five games this year couldn’t be better, and the schedule makers must have had a lot of fun circling the date this year and putting it together:

Look at that, you’re getting Al Horford and the Brad Stevens boys against Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis, a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals, Wade vs. the Spurs, the baby Wolves taking on Russell Westbrook, and a capper in a battle of Los Angeles teams. It’s a good time to be an NBA fan. What more could we ask for?

Oh yeah, bloopers. Well we’ve got those too:
