The ‘NBA On TNT’ Twitter Picked Its Winner For The Wizards-Celtics Series Early

Game 7 between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards did not tip off until after 8:00 pm ET on Monday evening. However, the good folks at TNT, the network that broadcast the pivotal contest, seemingly “picked” the game ahead of time if you believe a graphic used by the ‘NBA On TNT’ Twitter account.

The notion that TNT “knew something” or that the series is “rigged” is, of course, ridiculous but this kind of thing always seems to inspire conspiracy theorists to come out of the woodwork. To be fair to the network, the Celtics entered Game 7 as approximately five-point favorites (according to Las Vegas) in front of their home fans for Game 7 and, with that, Boston is “expected” to win.

Still, that will not ease the minds of angry Wizards fans that now feel slighted as a result of a Twitter graphic.

The team that will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals will be the one that emerges victorious in a hotly contested battle in Boston on Monday evening. Sometimes, it is just that simple and a graphic producer within the Turner ranks likely got a little bit aggressive in putting together images for the next batch of series. It happens.
