The Nick Young-D’Angelo Russell situation in Los Angeles now seems like a humorous footnote with the NBA Finals currently underway between two relevant teams, but it made a reappearance during Andrew Bogut’s postgame interview on NBA TV.
First, Bogut made a joke about some women in his home country of Australia who knew Shaquille O’Neal. The other hosts made a few snitching jokes, and Shaq dropped the hammer with a Russell joke:
“Welcome to D’Angelo Russell Studios. The Australian office.”

Russell isn’t even in the Finals, and jokes are still being made at his expense. He’s probably never going to live this down, even though he has a very promising career ahead of him.
This should be a lesson to NBA players and pretty much people everywhere: stop snitching.
