Stephen Curry is a dang rock star. There’s really no other way around it at this point.
The Warriors guard and reigning NBA MVP is so popular these days that people are willing to shell out hundreds of dollars not just to watch him play basketball, but also in hopes of getting close enough to Curry that they can “pinch his ass.” That’s according to a recent Craigslist post from a fan in the D.C. area desperate for tickets to the upcoming Warriors-Wizards game on Wednesday night.

Looking for 2 tickets to Wednesday nights (2/3) Golden State Warriors vs. Washington Wizards game at the Verizon center. Willing to sell my soul. Would like tickets in the lower 100 sections with an unobstructed view of Steph Curry, possibly close enough that a bead of his sweat drips on me as he runs by.

On one hand, I can’t necessarily blame this person for wanting to see Curry play so badly. We already know he can do some absurdly entertaining things on the basketball court, and the Warriors are in the process of putting together one of the best seasons in NBA history. Seeing Curry play is seeing some of that history.
On the other hand, however, it might be a good idea to take it down a notch. Or a couple notches, actually. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this person isn’t going to be able to watch Curry play if he feels compelled to take out a restraining order against them.
