A Cavs Fan Cursed Out Steph Curry’s Sister On Twitter And It Cost Him His Job

Alright, everyone. It’s time for a lesson that we all know, but sometimes, it helps to see the consequences of someone’s bad actions to teach it. That lesson is that you shouldn’t be a jerk to people, especially on the internet, and especially if it could cost you your job.

The situation: Stephen Curry‘s sister Sydel is going to Cleveland because her brother is about to play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena. This did not sit well with one Twitter user, who told Sydel to get out of his city with the help of some really strong words.

This didn’t sit well with, well, a lot of people. One such person told this Cavs fan’s employer, who proceeded to tell the Twitterverse that he had been terminated. Here’s all of the relevant tweets, via @warriorsworld:

This really isn’t a hard lesson to learn – just be cool to people, ya know? Sports aren’t all that important in the grand scheme of things, so when someone is coming to your city, be nice to them. Who knows? Maybe being a jerk to someone will cost you your job like it did this guy.

In fact, let’s take the lesson one step further, with the help of the most important tweet of all-time.

It’s an easy rule. Never forget it.
