Thunder Center Steven Adams Really Burned Dwight Howard When Asked About His Stickum

Steven Adams can insist that he wasn’t trying to be a cheeky bastard about the whole Dwight Howard Stickum ordeal by bookending this sick burn with a self-deprecating “I also suck at free throws” line, but nobody’s buying it. It was perfect as is, and there’s no need to apologize for perfection. That’s what happened Monday when reporters asked Adams about the controversy as his team prepares to host Howard and the Rockets on their home court Tuesday night.

You’ll recall that not only was Howard caught red-handed (as it were) using a banned substance on his hands during a game against the Atlanta Hawks this weekend, but that he also doesn’t believe the rules apply to him because, you know, he apparently cheats all the time and nobody ever says anything. Right now, it’s unclear what, if any, action the league might take against Howard regarding the incident.

Adams, for his part, has made something of a name for himself as an instigator during his brief NBA career, so we’ll find out whether this adds any extra chippiness to the game Tuesday night when they take the floor.
