Get out your crowbars and gravity guns, because the mad scientists have built something suspiciously similar to the manhacks in Half-Life 2. The video below shows their autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) using its four rotors to do what they’re calling “precise aggressive maneuvers”, and they aren’t kidding. The quadrotor helicopter picks up wireless transmissions from an outboard computer with motion capture. It can zoom through windows with as little as 3 inches of clearance on each side, ascent and descend quickly through small slots, and land on a velcro pad to stick itself to walls. More importantly, it kinda sounds like a bunch of angry bees, so when I’m flying it in the backyard my neighbors won’t suspect anything right away. And then I release the bees.
